Christmas School Concert

Quick post! We came home from a annual kindergarten school concert. The concert was held in the"bunkahall" or Cultural center hall in Kofu city earlier today.

My daughter's school is holding it's Christmas "ongakukai" or Christmas recital every 2nd week of December. My kid's Christmas concert is one of many school activities that I love, but sad to say today was Rio's last Christmas ongakukai because she'll be graduating in kindergarten three months from now.

I'm so proud of her. Even though she fell on stage while performing, she stood up and continued with her performance. She well deserved the applause from the audience today. bravo! She is adorable kid and there is nothing that fills my heart with more joy than watching her performing on stage with confidence.

That's my weekend highlight story, gosh I'm so tired and my back is aching right now needs to recharge my energy muna lol... Happy weekend!

Mommy Moments- Favorite Mommy Moments.

mommy moments

Mommy Moments theme for today is favorite mommy moments entry. Every Mommy moments theme we have are precious and meaningful theme for me . Discussing our kids milestones, it makes me feel proud and realize that being a mother is tough! But I thank God he gave me the most rewarding job in the universe and that is I become a mother.

Here's my favorite entry! First is the July 23. First Steps! theme. I remember both my kids was around 9 to 10 months when they start to walked. They will take a few steps here and there. Until I saw that they are completely walking without any wobbling or anything. It make me feel so proud!!

Second is the July 2. Encounter with pets or animal. My kids had a wonderful time inside the safari park but the best part of our trip in the zoo was riding in the zoo bus. I remember we decided to ride in the safari bus because Rio wanted to feed those animals and she's too excited at first, but when she saw how big the lion was that's the time she cried and she told me she wants to go home already because she didn't expect to see the lions so close enough that she almost felt that it will grab her hand while feeding that lion. That trip was memorable for us.

Rio was too busy counting the deers!

Inside the Safari Bus.

Sharing my kids funny moments in Look at the mess is the winner for me. I can't help it!! Rio was too funny. I told her to clean up your toys! instead of picking up all the toys she suddenly grabbed the vacuum cleaner and she told me that it's much easier if she will use the vacuum to clean up her toys! What a smart kid!!

Now it's your time to share your Mommy Moments. Have a fun~fun weekend!!

food trip Friday- creme caramel (leche flan)

Leche flan is a Filipino dessert that I grow up on. In the Philippines flan is known as Leche Flan—literally milk flan—a heavier version of the Spanish flan made with more egg yolks. Leche Flan is usually steamed over an open flame or stove top, although rarely it can also be seen baked. Leche Flan is a staple in all celebratory feasts to the point where it is almost mandatory.

Pixel Bug Weekend- I wish I could take the bugs away and suffer it myself.!

Welcome to Pixel Bug for my PBW this week is all about our freaky and stressful week in the hospital.

Quick post! My two girls are generally a healthy kids but last week both of them tested positive for influenza A and had a 39.2-40.3 °C ( 102.6-104.6 °F) fever with horrible cough during the night to the point that it takes them a second to catch a breath or inhale when they are done coughing. It is so hard for me to see my kids like that. It is just a horrible feeling not be able to help my kids to feel better. If I can only just put my hand on them to take away their pain and sickness gosh, I can do that every minute and every day. For me there is nothing worse than having a sick kids! It makes you feel so helpless. Grabe!!!

My kids in the hospital room.

The days are really long and boring inside the hospital. As their mom I gave them something that they can focus on and laugh at to distract themselves from the situation they're in. It means we did something fun and special things while they are in the hospital room. We made some cute paper cut outs , drawing, coloring and playing their favorite games in PSP and gameboy.

Now!!! The long and freaky week is over my kids are home sweet home again and finally the bugs are gone hurray were healthier than ever!!! Thank God for the early Christmas present...

I love you Kei and Rio =)

Our Christmas tree ..

I have and will always LOVE Christmas, it is a special holiday that will always be special to me. One of my favorite things about Christmas is putting up our 170cm Christmas tree and putting the ornaments and tinsel on the tree is such a huge thing for me, its like "wow I can really feel the spirit of Christmas here". Yesterday while looking at these lights and ornaments on our Christmas tree and whenever I heard a Christmas songs, all the childhood Christmas memories just come rushing.. I can tell you that it bring tears in my eyes.

When I was a kid, Christmas was memorable for it meant gifts from ninong and ninangs, new clothes and shoes, caroling , sibang gabi and the delicious food during Christmas. It was fun and precious memories to cherish. Spending Christmas with my whole family is one of the wonderful blessing I had. I wish we can spend Christmas season in the Philippines, but I think that's impossible for now.. hay!!!

Girls talk-birth talk!

I was born on a cold, evening of February 7 in Manila, Philippines. My mom told me that when she had me she was like "What the heck did I get myself into this, didn't I learn my lesson the first time?" ha. Just kidding lol... But I guess she didn't she had 3 kids more after me!

Anyway! My mom had a hard time during her pregnancy. She went through for almost 24 hours of back labor, mom said that her pain stays for awhile and returns like every 30 minutes. Wow I was like a bad baby to her lol...

My name is unique ehehe.. Both my parents had a big argument about what is the right name for me? At first dad wanted me to be called as Levi (as in levi's jeans) and of course my mom didn't permitted that name (thanks mom) lol... Until the nurse asked them both about their names, my dad is Jackie and my mom is Cristy so that same day the nurse started to call me Jacris. She got the Ja from Jackie and Cris from Cristy ehehe... I love my name but my name and my father's name are so similar that we were always getting confused- who was Mom hollering for? I am Jac and my dad's nickname is Jack too. I remember one of my friends knocked on ours house door and asked my dad " Hi Tito, can I talk to lady Jac" ehehe... Miss you dad =)

Those of you born under the influence of the Chinese Astrology Element of Earth are wise, serene and prudent, firmly rooted in your morals, ethics and responsibilities. Led by logic rather than emotion, you seek to plan your life as far out in advance as possible, to expect the unexpected and control your destiny down to the last detail. Your disciplined reserve -- which can come across as true grace if you work it right -- garners you respect and admiration. You're so bound by logic and dependent upon controlling your situation that you have a fear of the unknown. Consequently, you question your instincts, distrusting even your most cherished dreams and seeing your whims as frivolous distractions. Don't be a stick in the mud, Earth Signs; share your wisdom and your peace of mind with a needy world.
