Mommy Moments- Grandparents.

mommy moments

It's nice to be back here in Mommy Moments and for this week's MM theme is about grandparents. My kids are blessed to have a loving and caring Obachan- grandma. My MIL is so sweet, loving and caring.. Actually, I love everything about her she's an amazing woman.

 MIL with her grandchildren

My parents are awesome, funny and most of all loving grandparents. My mom and dad are in their 50's healthy and young at hearts. In my teenage years, I despised my parents tight control over my sisters and I. Now that I'm a parent, I have become more appreciative of my dad and mom's parenting skills. I really had great admiration for them. Now that my parents are grandparents already I guess they are the best GP and GM.

Hubby and I marked our 9th year of married life.

I feel like I've gotten ahead of myself hmm. There are a few details I haven't told you about, like how I met my husband and how we got married. Those are some of my happiest moments that I would like to share with you guys.
I first met my husband in the Philippines but moving to Yamanashi ten years ago was the best decision I’ve ever done. He was my boss and a former owner of Production Company. He was shy, serious and a lil mysterious type of guy, I was working under he’s owned company. While I was working here abroad I feel so sad and I guess any person living abroad will feel the same. “homesick”. That time I was crying and hoping that he can send me back home even with or without my two month salary. But he refused to; instead he did everything to make me feel happy. From there we became friends and he started calling me four to five times a week.
I have to be honest I didn't give my husband much thought at first. I was in a long-distance relationship and was just looking for a friend to hang out with and talk with occasionally.
About a month later, hubby was trying he’s best to get my attention he literally asking me out for a coffee, If I didn't know him better I probably should have thought he was stalking me LOL ! As they say surviving long distance relationships can be difficult. I believe it’s true; I had just gotten out of my long distance relationship.
My husband and my fellow co workers /housemates helped me to move on so I fall in with the crowd quickly; and from there Mr. Shy guy and I were dating.
Our first date was really funny. He took me to Shinjiku Tokyo to watch the fantastic show and then we went to Gunma ken to visit my cousins. I still don't know if he was trying to impress me or he was just polite to introduce himself.
Fast forward Year 2000 was the year I got engaged, On February 2000, I had to leave my work for good  because I feel that maybe I was pregnant. I was in the Philippines when I found out that my suspicion was true. After some series of test my Obstetrics Gynecology told me that I am pregnant. That day I called my husband to announce the good news. I was in tears while telling him (Congratulations you're going to be a Dad!).
My husband was thinking of me that day he was excited he called me and told me that we should get married in June that’s why four months after I told him the good news we got married..
Hubby and I recently marked our 9th year of married life. We celebrated our 9th year wedding anniversary two days ago (yup, wonderful 9th years together. Being with my husband always brings out the best in me. I love you so much.

Training wheels

One of the task parents must learn is how to teach their children to ride on a bicycle. I was the trainer of my 6 years old daughter. My daughter is familiar with a two small supporting wheels on her bike and I remove it, before that I explained it to her that she might not need the two small wheels anymore. This is something unknown to her since her previous bicycle had a training wheels. After that I took her for training , I put her on the bike and gave her a push slowly as I grasp her t-shirt to avoid any injury. We spend almost 15 to 30 minutes each training.. Now she can ride on her bike alone. clap~clap~clap. I guess teaching her how to ride on a bicycle is one of my achievements.. Now I am happy Mother bicycling with my Daughter ...

Mommy Moments- Motherhood.

mommy moments

Motherhood has completely changed me. The most completely and humbling experience that I've ever had and my life long journey that never ends. Motherhood is one of the most important jobs in the world and one of the best yet toughest learning experience that I've gone through. I'm very much happy and proud to be a mother... ( I can't imagine my life not being one).

~Kei and Rio you are my Life, my Pride and my Blessing. I love you with all my life~

My daughters have a tremendous impact in my life. They are my pride and joy. There truly is nothing I can say to capture what motherhood means to me but all I know is when they were born into this world was the best thing I have ever done in my life !!

Share your mommy journey here in  Mommy Moments Enjoy your weekend guys!!

Food Trip Friday-Homemade Beef Tongkatsu.

Thank God it's Friday and welcome to Food Trip Friday and here's my FTF for today =)

~Homemade Beef Tongkatsu~

Tonkatsu usually served with rice, miso soup and tsukemono in the style of washoku (traditional Japanese food). Recently, some establishments have taken to serving tonkatsu with the more traditionally Japanese ponzu and grated daikon instead of tonkatsu sauce.

Happy weekend =)

The father of the bride.

Quick Post ! Hubby was busy flipping through channels today and he came across this variety show that seems to be interesting, it’s about wedding speeches. The two of us we're laughing while watching it because the show was really HILARIOUS. Gosh, from the videos we watched the father of the bride was seems to be the most stress, nervous and got teary eyes. Actually the six wedding videos was very funny “thumbs up”. After watching it I was curious about these whole things, so I ask my husband what if he is the father of the bride. How does he feel if one of our daughters is getting married? I told him for sure he will do the same. He will probably lost he’s words during the speech or for sure he will cry the entire wedding ceremony lol. He answered me YES. It is hard to think of it right now because I can’t denied the fact that I will cry like a baby and my body will be shaking like a leaf and then(he laugh)  Well the truth is I remember your dad during our wedding just think about our wedding. I will be like him.

~ My wedding day ~

My dad is not an emotional type of guy, but I guess I was wrong, the strong man I’ve known for years got emotional and nervous too. I remember when we were walking down the aisle. My dad was cool and I was the one who’s getting really nervous and stressed out and honestly, just wanted the wedding to be over because I was so nervous. So my dad was trying to make me feel better. He told me to smile and don’t cry because this is my big day don’t get nervous anak, in my surprise as I look at my dad’s eyes I saw him in he’s hilarious “tears of joy” (that’s what he called it) I just busted out laughing while looking at him! Funny because he keeps on telling me don’t cry anak at your own wedding but the thing was he’s the one who's crying.
Well, I remember somewhere in the middle of me and hub’s vows, my dad and mom started to cry, which of course, made me cry. After the wedding my parents both came in our hotel room to congratulate us then my dad told me he accepted the reality that he needs to "give me away" then he started crying again. Now as I end this post I guess it is proven that the father of the bride is the most nervous, an emotional wreck during her daughter’s wedding day. Have fun =)

I'm taking my time off from blogging for a week or two.

I had a very busy day since the past few weeks and I’m preparing some papers/documents for my mom. We're planning to invite her for vacation next month. Not only that I am also working on household chores, PTA activities, and other stuff that I feel like I'm a superwoman already whew! To the point that I wished time can take me as far as 24 hours. So I’ve decided I need a break!! I thought that this is the right time for me to take my time off from blogging for a week or two. I feel like with so many things to do I have a little time to do them. This is hard that I need to take my time off especially that I dearly love this blog !!!
I love my blog because I've learned a lot of things, I’ve been exposed to a lot of great resources that I would treasure and have otherwise missed. I am thankful for the great opportunities like I’ve made connections with people that have lasted for years, people I haven’t shake hands or talk with face to face, but I would consider my friends..
To all my friends and readers thank you for your love and understanding. I’ll be back soon, promise…
Lots of love Jac

Happy Birthday Seiko :)

As the candles get added to your cake I'll be looking forward to adding many more years to our friendship! Happy Birthday Seiko. May you have more birthdays to come I love you ate thank you for being my friend. I wish you loads of happiness on your special day God bless you !
