Pixel Bug Weekend- Worst flooding in history of Northern Luzon.

worst flooding history in northern Luzon

The best thing about being a Filipino is every time that we are in a high crisis we are fighters and survivors, we don't easily give up even in our most tragic moments. This picture shows the true meaning of Bayanihan is still in each one of us...

I dunno what to say, I feel so sad after I watched the news Saturday night. Very traumatic and heartbreaking news for me. I know that all of us is still in shock after what the typhoon ondoy left us nothing but pain and terrible situation. This is one of the worst flooding incident in northern Luzon that left 75 people dead and nearly 300,000 affected.

food trip Friday- Kamasu fish with misoshiru soup and kimpira gobo

Kamasu fish with misoshiru soup and kimpira gobo.

Kimpira Gobo is a side dish made with Braised Burdock roots (an earthy root vegetable) . Burdock, also known as gobo in Japanese. This is a long slender root vegetable with rusty brown skin and grayish-white flesh. Although burdock is little known in the United States, it has been an important and commonly used vegetable in Japanese cuisine for centuries. In Japan, burdock is often pickled or used in such traditional dishes as kimpira gobo. For this dish, carrots and burdock are cut into matchsticks, stir-fried together, and then braised in a mixture of mirin, sugar and soy sauce with hot peppers and sesame seeds.

mommy moments

Hi everyone another precious moments to share here in mommy moments and for this weeks theme is all about Treasured Pictures.

This is one of my favorite. They enjoyed making some crafts together.
This photo is part of our summer vacay moments.

I love the way they look at me when I said SMILE.

Teaching her little sister to play piano.

Kei's MINI-K commercial audition.

She's into the top 10 Mini-K's magazine models, but sad to say my dear Kei didn't make it to the magazine pictorial because in that same date we rushed her to the hospital due to high fever(104) and sores in his throat- the Doctor said it was most likely viral infection. She was in the hospital for five days. I feel so sad when my daughter asked me if she did a great job while were there. I told her that she's great and I'm so proud of her.

My lifelong endeavor

Hubby and I have been married for almost eight years he is so nice to me and to our children. What I love most about my husband is he tries so hard to make me happy, he is always there to comfort me but sometimes I get frustrated because my husband and I view the world so differently and I don’t know how to see things from his perspective. It is hard!
I want to be a better wife. Over the years I have matured, I have grown, I have identified and realized the issue and even begun to work on it. Before I have been so negative, selfish and just constantly complaining about EVERYTHING. Everyday I try to be a better wife, and everyday I improve with limited minor setbacks. This is not something that I feel I can ever fully accomplish, since I believe it’s an ongoing goal with unlimited opportunity for improvement. After all, being a better wife is a lifelong endeavor.

new source of addiction?

Quick post!!!! Facebook. Yeah people, you heard me right. After talking to several friends including my siblings, they said that they are addicted to Facebook already and some of my friends brings their facebok addiction to work.. Actually I might be consider myself a little addicted too because right after my kids left the house for school, I'm on facebook every single day checking up with my old and new friends wall seeing how they are doing. I have to say that games and application in facebook is really fun! OMG, I'm so in to it. I like the restaurant city, pet society and farmville. Gee! I've notice that I'm too busy searching and trading my ingredients to my friends and the harvesting and plowing thing in farmville is so fun { did you know that farming is much easier because of the new tools}... Anyways, here is the problem. Too much of anything is bad. We need to control our self and learn to maintain a good balance. So I made a promise :p that I shouldn't indulge myself with these kind of addiction. I'm happy that I found another way to spend my precious time in crafting.. So instead of spending three to four hours a day in front of my lappy, now I'm learning how to make a scrapbook clap~clap. !!! This time I find it more fun and relaxing, thanks to my eldest daughter Kei, for encouraging me to make my own scrapbook. As of now! I'm still playing games and answering some Q&A in facebook. I believe that I didn't get rid of that easily but learning to manage my time properly is the best lesson that facebook ever gave me.
