Mommy Moments- Haircut

I got so busy this past few days.Sorry guys!!! Anyway. I am back=)

Mommy Moments. theme for today is all about our kids haircut. Both my daughters where 10 months old when they had their first hair cut. The back had grown in uneven so we just cut it and made it even. But now I cut-trim my kids hair myself just to keep it healthy. We had their hair trimmed they don't get short hair till, well in their teens I guess.

relieved!

Around 1:15 P.M. My seven year old daughter had to be rushed to the nearest hospital because of two straight days of dizziness and headache. I'm getting concern about her condition that's why hubby and I took her to the nearest hospital. She had a series of laboratory test and CT scan. Honestly! I am so scared and worried about the test results. But again. Thanks GOD she's fine and all the lab test and CT scan results are negative...Praise GOD!

Good and healthy foods to share here in Food Trip Friday.

Home cooked- Niku Jaga- {Simmered Potatoes and Beef}

For the Ingredients:
*Thinly sliced (bacon cut) of beef loin cut into 1 and 1/2 inch length pieces.
*potatoes cut into quarters.
*carrots sliced into circle.
*1 onion cut into wedges.
*1/2 shirataki noodles.
*2 1/2 Dashi soup.
*2 to 3 tablespoon of Mirin.
*2 to 3 tablespoon of sugar
*4 to 5 tablespoon of kikoman soy sauce.

How to cook:
Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a deep pot and saute beef quickly on high heat. Add onion, carrot, potato, and shirataki noodles. in the pan and saute together. Pour Dashi soup stock and bring to a boil. Turn down the heat to low and skim off any foam or impurities that rise to the surface. Simmer until potatoes are softened. Add sugar and Mirin and put a drop-lid. Simmer for about 5 minutes and add soy sauce. Simmer until the liquid are almost gone.

One of the most popular potato dishes here in Japan is niku jaga.They really love this dish and my family crave it if they don't it eat it for a week!

Mommy Moments- Grandparents bonding

Another happy moments to share here in Mommy Moments. And for this weeks theme is all about Grandparents. First of all, thank you Chris for this wonderful theme,taking our time to share this beautiful theme, gee I love it!!

Lola and Lolo daddy.

I have always had a great relationship with my parents,but when my parents become a grandparents I think it's gotten closer and closer.My daughter Kei is my parents first grandchild, and having my daughter made me really appreciate them a lot more and everything they have done. Its not that I didn't appreciate them before, but once you have your own, you really stop to think and realize everything your parents did for you, and it wasn't easy. Nobody realizes what being a parent really is, until you have one of your own.

My mom is my best friend and one of the best women I've ever know.

My mom is one of my greatest blessings, a great mom and best lola-grandma to her 5 grandchildren. She is so thoughtful, loving and caring. About my dad, he is awesome dad and one of the coolest lolo- grandpa. He may not be the best dad-grandpa in the whole world but he's an awesome friend and protective lolo- grandpa.

Lastly! To my best lola-my grandma who passed away last October 30, Nay,until now I still miss you,thank you for the love and kindness. farewell nanay.

kids sleep independently

Mommy are notoriously troubled sleepers.But when kids sleep better,so do mums and dads.
Have little kids sleep alone.Lying down with younger kids as they fall asleep is fine,until they wake up in the middle of the night.Try the sleeping bag trick.Have your child go to sleep in it on the floor near you,then night after night,gradually move the bag away from your bed,out the door and down the hall to your kid's own room.It can take a while,says PhD.Jodi A Mindell of Sleep Center at the Children Hospital of Philadelphia,but eventually your child gain confidence to sleep independently.Yeah,we know it's a challenge.Still,it's worth the push.
Another tips!!Establish a bedtime routine.Kids should always do three or four calming activities before bed and they should be exactly the same activities every night. Bath,reading,prayer or whatever- daily repetition cues your child's body for sleep.And a routine is just as important for a teenager as it is for a toddler.RD

Sad ending -prison break finale

Oh my gosh.I've never thought, that the season 4 had to be end with big surprises, actually I was so sad of Michael Scofield death. It's suck!!!But I guess,they had to end his character like that because the whole thing was about trying to save his brother.I felt like heart broken, seeing his headstone and his little boy visiting with Sarah and the rest of the crew made me just cry.I would expect it to end that Michael getting over on the Company-again.Sad ending but I can't wait for the DVD to come out.

I Hope!

This was an old news but until now I'm still puzzled about the tragedy and I hope this terrible incident won't happen again.
I was watching TV patrol news by The Filipino channel and it really broked my heart. In news! "mother allegedly killed her 3 children before she committed suicide because of poverty." I was in total shocked and asking myself why she did that? Is it a terrible world when a mother feel she needs to killed her children and killed her self too? Who should blamed about this incident? Is it the government that talks about economical growths while their people die of hunger or killing themselves. I guess something needs to be done to help those poor and hungry people , so that they don't reach the stage where they think that the only way out of their situation is to end their lives. It is so sad and selfish that she feel she needs to take her own children lives, but who the hell I am to judge her right!!!What do you think?Is it the local government doing enough to serve the people and reduce the poverty? Big issue huh!!
I love my country and proud to be a Filipino in my heart and soul, but I'm sick and exhausted already because of this so called traditional politician in our country. Well, 363 days to decide who among our presidential candidates is deserving to be the next Philippine president,I hope he/she's the one ...

Pregnant to be know to stay grounded. After all, cosmic radiation from the sun can harm the fetus? Not necessarily. A new report reveals that the amount of radiation is so small,the risk is negligible for most women.Guidelines state that exposure to 1 millisievert (mSv) of radiation a year is safe in addition to 3(mSv) we get yearly from background sources.
For example: On a 12 hour return flight from Singapore to Tokyo,passengers get just .06 mSv.
Woman may want to postpone flights in the rare case of a solar flare a sudden burst of radiation that occurs every few years and may last several days.At their peak,they can expose a traveller to more than 30 times than amount of radiation she'd get in single flight.If you're worried about a solar flare,your airline may know if one is occurring.Frequent fliers,of course, may be at higher risk.For casual travelers, while there may be other health reasons your doctor doesn't want to fly(hypertension,for example),don't let cosmic radiation make you miss a trip.
