Mommy Moments- Doctor, Doctor am I sick?

mommy moments

Mommy moments new theme for this week is Doctor,Doctor am I sick?

This picture I took while Rio was running a fever. She has been a little cranky and irritable over the last few days. I took her temperature and it was 39'5 and I am getting more concerned that's why I took her to the hospital today. They gave her fluids through an I.V and her pediatrician told me that the reason of her fever was a mild strep throat and there has nothing to worry about, thank God. But she needs to take the entire course of the antibiotics for four days ...

I had a terrible bad experience four years ago when my eldest daughter had to be rushed to the nearest hospital in Imus Cavite because of fever and diarrhea. That time Kei was only three years old and sad to say it's our third and last visit to the Philippines =(, because of what happened it's hard to convince my husband to travel back again to Philippines. Anyway! Here's the story goes. Kei likes to play every morning in her inflatable pool, so probably the source of bacteria that caused her from getting sick was from the contaminated water. After I saw the symptoms like diarrhea, fever, abdominal crams and lack of energy.Without a second thought, we rushed her to the nearest hospital and I was so scared until now while writing this post I feel my tears run down on my face remembering how scared I was seeing my child so weak, it really broke my heart. Oh life...

Share your story with us here at Mommy Moments. Have a lovely day =)

Having a cold or the flu is never any fun. But it is often worst when your child is the one that is sick
Get well soon Rio Chan!

its really hard for our kids to get sick in the Phils because our doctors are in the US but i guess most kids do get sick when vacation... i guess because of the sudden change? by the way, get well soon to your kid....

That was a not so pleasant vacation for you pala. Baka sa weather din sa pinas sa sobrang init. Mommy talaga unang maapektohan kapag sick ang baby natin. Okay lng makulit wag lng magkasakit hehehe

I hope your little girl feels better soon! It is so sad to see children sick. And how scary about your daughter 4 years ago, I'm glad that everything turned out okay.

visiting your mommy moments!

it's sad to hear that your husband doesn't want to go back here but who can blame him? he's just concerned and looking out what's best for the kids.

btw, hope you can visit my entry too. cheers! =)

it is really scary to see our kids so weak... esp if they are still very young. and am sorry to hear that your hubby won't be talked at visiting pinas again. be persistent na lang and visit back if ur kids are older na, when their immune system is stronger. take care sis!
