14 years of love and happiness.... Happy anniversary my love.

Dear husband,

You are the love of my life. Our marriage has always been my greatest source of peace and happiness. I want to thank you for the wonderful 14 years we've spent together. We've known each other for so long and we manage to stay strong. Sweetheart, you don't know how happy I felt when you kissed me on my forehead and gave me a hug before we went to sleep! I appreciate all the sweetest things you do just to make me happy. No matter what whirlwinds surround me, I can always count on your support. You've always been an example of selfless love. With each passing year, our love has grown, and we've just become more in love with each other. On our wedding day, I promised to love you, I promised to be here for you in good times and in bad, and to love you with all my heart. Happy 14th year anniversary, Sweetheart. Thank you for always being there for me and thank you for loving me. I love you so much....

Let's celebrate! Congratulations on your Graduation day.

A letter to my daughter on her Graduation day.

Congratulations Kei!

Dear Keina,

First of all congratulations on your graduation. I know you're excited about starting middle school. You know that I am excited too right, but just give me at least a day to digest and accept the fact that you're not a baby anymore. Promise I won't get too nostalgic and do all the whole misty-eyed.

It feels like yesterday when you were my newborn baby, I cried at how beautiful you were. I made a promise to you then that I would always be there for you, that I would do anything to protect you and that I would be the best mom for you. That day when I first held you in my arms. I knew deep in my heart that it was love at first sight.

As days and months passed, you crawled, walked and talked. I still remember your first word was "dada", did you know that your papa was so thrilled when he heard that! But you know anak, I initially thought that it would be "mama" or "mum mum" lol. Ok then you had your first steps, your first favorite disney character is winnie the pooh and your favorite colors are yellow, red and pink.

And we went off to kindergarten... I remember how excited you were when we enrolled you in kindergarten. From there you met your best friend. When you were in kindergarten you stunned all of us with your newfound interest in piano. We are so impressed by how quickly you learned to play the instrument, that's why at the age of four your Papa and I decided to pursue your interest in playing the piano. I think the part that impressed me the most was seeing you in a long dress on stage watching you at your first piano recital with teacher Suzuki. It was a very successful event and you made me so proud of you. I also remember your first day in elementary school vividly. In grade three you made a beautiful sketch of a dress. I thought it was just a hobby at first, but now you want it to be a career in the future. I promise that I will support you in every step of the way :)

Mom's advice. Now that you're entering high school, I want to impart the value of education and the importance of choosing your "friends" wisely. Always be yourself as I told you so and remember that in every journey or career path you'll choose or pursue in the future. I'll be here for you to guide and protect you. ( sniff ) Don't worry I'll stop crying eventually this is what you called tears of pride and joy!

Keina, sweetheart, be my baby a little bit longer. I want to tell you to freeze! Pause or hold right there you are growing up so fast. Look at you now! My little baby is growing up to be a young beautiful lady. Again my sunshine, congratulations!

May our dear Lord continue to bless and guide you, don't forget to Pray and Good luck on fulfilling your dreams sweetheart. As long as you are doing the right thing and doing it with love and passion just go for it! Go confidently in the direction of your dreams and work hard for it! In time you will achieve any goal your heart's desires. Just dream, believe in yourself and pray ...

~ Delight yourself in the LORD,

and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 ~

Keina, I Love you beyond words could ever describe. I will always be your number one fan, a cheerleader, your bodyguard, cook, driver, best friend, superwoman and your forever Mom!

卒業おめでとうございます中学校にいっても頑張ってください。

Hubby and I marked our 9th year of married life.

I feel like I've gotten ahead of myself hmm. There are a few details I haven't told you about, like how I met my husband and how we got married. Those are some of my happiest moments that I would like to share with you guys. I first met my husband in the Philippines but moving to Yamanashi ten years ago was the best decision I’ve ever made. He was my boss and a former owner of a Production Company. He was shy, serious and a lil mysterious type of guy, I was working under he’s owned company. While I was working here abroad I felt so sad and I guess any person living abroad will feel the same. “homesick”. That time I was crying and hoping that he can send me back home even with or without my two month salary. But he refused to; instead he did everything to make me feel happy. From there we became friends and he started calling me four to five times a week. I have to be honest I didn't give my husband much thought at first. I was in a long-distance relationship and was just looking for a friend to hang out with and talk with occasionally. About a month later, hubby was trying his best to get my attention. He was literally asking me out for a coffee. If I didn't know him better I probably should have thought he was stalking me LOL ! As they say, surviving long distance relationships can be difficult. I believe it’s true; I had just gotten out of my long distance relationship. My husband and my fellow co-workers /housemates helped me to move on so I fall in with the crowd quickly; and from there Mr. Shy guy and I were dating. Our first date was really funny. He took me to Shinjuku Tokyo to watch the fantastic show and then we went to Gunma ken to visit my cousins. I still don't know if he was trying to impress me or if he was just polite to introduce himself. Fast forward 2000 was the year I got engaged. In February 2000, I had to leave my work for good because I felt that maybe I was pregnant. I was in the Philippines when I found out that my suspicion was true. After some series of tests my Obstetrics Gynecologist told me that I am pregnant. That day I called my husband to announce the good news. I was in tears while telling him (Congratulations you're going to be a Dad!). My husband was thinking of me that day. He was excited and he called me and told me that we should get married in June. That's why four months after I told him the good news we got married.. Hubby and I recently marked our 9th year of married life. We celebrated our 9th year wedding anniversary two days ago (yup, wonderful 9th years together. Being with my husband always brings out the best in me. I love you so much..

Training wheels

One of the tasks parents must learn is how to teach their children to ride on a bicycle. I was the trainer of my 6 years old daughter. My daughter is familiar with the two small supporting wheels on her bike and I removed it, before that I explained to her that she might not need the two small wheels anymore. This is something unknown to her since her previous bicycle had training wheels. After that I took her for training , I put her on the bike and gave her a push slowly as I grasped her t-shirt to avoid any injury. We spend almost 15 to 30 minutes each training.. Now she can ride on her bike alone. clap~clap~clap. I guess teaching her how to ride on a bicycle is one of my achievements.. Now I am a happy Mother bicycling with my Daughter ...

The father of the bride.

Quick Post ! Hubby was busy flipping through channels today and he came across this variety show that seems to be interesting, it’s about wedding speeches. The two of us we're laughing while watching it because the show was really HILARIOUS. Gosh, from the videos we watched the father of the bride seemed to be the most stressed, nervous and had teary eyes. Actually the six wedding videos were very funny “thumbs up”. After watching it I was curious about these things, so I asked my husband what if he is the father of the bride. How does he feel if one of our daughters is getting married? I told him for sure he will do the same. He will probably lose he’s words during the speech or for sure he will cry the entire wedding ceremony lol. He answered YES. It is hard to think of it right now because I can’t deny the fact that I will cry like a baby and my body will be shaking like a leaf and then(he laughs) Well the truth is I remember your dad during our wedding just think about our wedding. I will be like him.

~ My wedding day ~

My dad is not an emotional type of guy, but I guess I was wrong, the strong man I’ve known for years got emotional and nervous too. I remember when we were walking down the aisle. My dad was cool and I was the one who’s getting really nervous and stressed out and honestly, I just wanted the wedding to be over because I was so nervous. So my dad was trying to make me feel better. He told me to smile and don’t cry because this is my big day don’t get nervous anak, in my surprise as I look at my dad’s eyes I saw him in he’s hilarious “tears of joy” (that’s what he called it) I just busted out laughing while looking at him! Funny because he keeps on telling me don’t cry anak at your own wedding but the thing was he’s the one who's crying. Well, I remember somewhere in the middle of me and hub’s vows, my dad and mom started to cry, which of course, made me cry. After the wedding my parents both came to our hotel room to congratulate us. Then my dad told me he accepted the reality that he needs to "give me away" then he started crying again. Now as I end this post I guess it is proven that the father of the bride is the most nervous, an emotional wreck during her daughter’s wedding day. Have fun =)

This is mommy!!

Kids are born to be artistic, sometimes they do things that captivates us. Like this one! Recently my kids are doing some messy things around the house. They like to play with the kitchen utensils and even their clothes. I was amaze about the result they really did a great job. My kids made this art piece using the table napkins, clothes and handkerchief. And I asked them who she was. Keina suddenly told me that it's me!! She was inspired and she explained to me the details of their artwork.

This is mom Kei said. How sweet!!!

welcoming 2010 :D

I'm back woohoo :D and I'm so happy that finally I'm starting to do the things that I love like watching my favorite shows on TFC ( The Filipino channel) and blogging wink! It's been a week guys and I missed a lot of things already. I didn't have a chance to drop some lines on your page, I wish I had time to read your post and I didn't post my MM and FTF memes last week.. Sad :(

OK! Where have I been? Well, my family has been celebrating New Year's Eve with my sister in law's house . We've all gathered in her house to celebrate the new year in a traditional Japanese way. As always, there was plenty of food on the table. My Mother in law made the delicious kinpira gobo, sukiyaki and ozoni. The evening was not complete without games and watching the TV specials.

I made chicken macaroni for our dessert.

Usually the evening was not without time spent in the living room pouring over photo albums. The gentlemen always got time to watch the marathon and got into discussions about life and politics. We rounded out the evening with the live singing and dancing performance of my two pretty girls. It happens to be the star of that night :D

New Year's Eve is a time to relax and enjoy the start of a bright and promising new year. A new beginning with my family and friends. It was a great start to our year and as always. I'm looking forward to a healthy, prosperous and happy 2010...

Happy New Year ;D

Hubby's birthday is coming up and I really want to do something extra special for him on his birthday. But until now, I have no idea pa grrr!! I want to make it really special for him. Yesterday I asked him about watching the movie or roaming around the mall would be fun but he simply replied me with NOPE I'm busy!!
Oh my gulay! I'm running out of time but I'm hoping that my last idea will work; since I'm hopeless when it comes of buying presents I guess a nice dinner date will work. Actually I save some money for that err fancy dinner date.. ok good luck to me :)

you will stay here forever in our hearts...

Although death has separated us physically. For those we have loved and lost along the way, remember the faith and love have bound us eternally.Though we cannot see you anymore only the laughter, smiles and memories will always remain. Though we cannot touch you, we will always feel the warmth of your love and it will stay here forever in our hearts. Thank you Nanay, (Lola) We will miss you and may you rest in God’s peace.
As we begin a new chapter of our lives we are starting to reflect upon those who have shaped our character, molded our spirits and touched our hearts, to Nanay thank you for your words of wisdom. I love you Nanay.

How time flies, It's been a year already since I made these farewell post to my grandma. I just miss her so much..Yesterday, as I light up the candles to set my simple prayer for her. All of the sudden I just remember those days living with grandma during my college years its been a wonderful and happy moments to cherish.. My grandma was mean to us sometimes but I can describe her as a woman who speak her mind intelligently. Some of them may not know how loving, sweet, caring and amazing she was...
There are so many things to describe her, and I know my grandmother is absolutely the best person ever. I love her so much and she has made such an enormous impact in my life. I don't know what life would be like without knowing her. It's been a long hard road for us but thank you nanay for the love and understanding... I love you nanay, may you rest in God's peace...

a way to laugh

Last week hubby bought me my dream digital camera, a sony {DSC-T700} woohoo. What I like about this camera is you can carry your entire photo collection wherever you go with the pocket-sized, 10.1-megapixel DSC-T700 Cyber-shot digital camera. Frame, review and share your photos on the dazzling, 3.5" touch screen LCD. Boasting 4GB of internal memory, you can also store up to 950 high-resolution or 40,000 VGA-sized images. Equipped with Face Detection technology that automatically adjusts exposure and color to make faces look their best and Smile Shutter mode that instantly recognizes a smile, it's easy to preserve the perfect moment. You'll also be able to make the most of your photo opportunities with features such as Optical Steady Shot image stabilization, Anti-blink function and in-camera retouching tools. Kei and Rio also love this camera because when their imagination runs wild they love to use this creative painting tools.

What is this new digi cam is all about? Take a look at it!!

feels like heaven

Photobucket

When I woke up this morning, I was still buzzing from the breakfast "date" I had with hubby last Friday. We feasted on mentaiko spaghetti , seafood fettuccine and for dessert we had a thick slices of cheese cake . The setting, the garden outside the Kanaria restaurant here in kofu.
We talk about our future plans for our daughters, plans this coming school vacation etc. But I am so surprised when my husband suddenly tells me how much he loves me and he is thankful that I am the mother of his children and that I am the best thing that has ever happened to him. I felt his words fill me up from the tips of my toes to the top of my head until now wow it feels like heaven.

Cups mixed with two different flavors

My girls and I had a sweet bonding time last Wednesday, after I fetch my kid's from school we went to Baskin 31 Robbins for ice cream . My kid's favorite activities are to go to the mall for a walk, followed by a trip to the grocery store and go for ice cream.
