Christmas School Concert

Quick post! We came home from a annual kindergarten school concert. The concert was held in the"bunkahall" or Cultural center hall in Kofu city earlier today.

My daughter's school is holding it's Christmas "ongakukai" or Christmas recital every 2nd week of December. My kid's Christmas concert is one of many school activities that I love, but sad to say today was Rio's last Christmas ongakukai because she'll be graduating in kindergarten three months from now.

I'm so proud of her. Even though she fell on stage while performing, she stood up and continued with her performance. She well deserved the applause from the audience today. bravo! She is adorable kid and there is nothing that fills my heart with more joy than watching her performing on stage with confidence.

That's my weekend highlight story, gosh I'm so tired and my back is aching right now needs to recharge my energy muna lol... Happy weekend!

my baby's summer camp :)

My five year old daughter went to her first overnight school summer camping today.I can't go with her and I feel so lonely {actually no parents allowed hehehe}, because she's never been far away from me . This is frustrating not being able to go, omg! I was a nervous wreck and over protective mama! bad. I know that there has nothing to worry about and she will be fine but I think its normal to get worry sometimes diba. But in the other side of it. I am happy that she'll have her time to bond with her friends and teachers and also one of a kind experience for her. Right now oh my! I imagine that she will most likely talking to her friends the entire ride . Oh yeah! Maybe they have a huge bonfire there, singing and dancing. OK! I was still a bit nervous on the overnight camping thing. So I amused myself in a lot of distractions like playing games in facebook, cooking and watching my favorite shows in TFC...
I miss you baby :))

This is the obento, lunch box I made for her today.

Piano Recital.

My eldest daughter started learning to play piano when she's in preschool and her first performance on stage when she's only four years old. My friend Rica encouraged me to enrolled her in piano school and she told me the benefits of early learning musical experience to toddlers. I got interested of what she had said. I am happy because both our kids enrolled in the same piano school. In that particular day we had a nice chat with teacher Suzuki and she told us the early childhood years are the important years when it comes to musical development. The children who play or sing regularly can perform better in school like in reading and math. Playing music increase motor skills and helps develop hand-eye coordination. Now that my two daughter Kei and Rio are playing the same instrument together hurray! I am happy that I realize the importance of early learning musical instrument to my children. Good job :)
